Linda

Linda runs the Dockside Club at the port and won’t have it called a mere tavern; it’s “much more than” that. A revived town means more customers, so she’s the one who brings new people to the town, converting Green Scrolls into town quality from your first shop onward. Along the way she performs a concert on her late friend’s violin and falls for that friend’s brother, Albert, the Plague Doctor. She has nothing to sell.

Safe Harbor

Once the first battle is won and you reach the port, Gunter the Astrologer asks you to recover his tarot cards from the club, where he skipped out on his tab. Linda holds the deck and won’t release it yet: Gunter once predicted that the port’s old shop would reopen, and she means to see it happen.

  1. Ask about the cards in Safe Harbor. She gives you the Market Stalls I technology outright, letting you build shops on the town signboards (The Town has details).
  2. Build or repair something. The quest mentions the old shop by the club, but any stall built or house repaired in town completes it.
  3. Report back. You earn 10 reputation with her, a Town Gratitude, a Story, and Gunter’s Deck of Cards.

Bringing in settlers

Her idea is straightforward: a merchant ship calls every Lust day, and she’ll see to it that the next one carries settlers. After that, choose New people with her and hand over Green Scrolls, earned by repairing houses in town. Every scroll adds 1 town quality, and town quality caps the happiness you can hold.

Option Her reputation Scrolls spent Town quality gained
Attract 1 new person 10 1 +1
Attract 3 new people 10 3 +3
Attract 10 new people 20 10 +10
Attract 10 new people (a second time) 30 10 +10
Even more people 40 none Unlocks repeatable ×1, ×5 and ×10 options

Each of the first four works once. The New people menu is Lust day only, except the very first time: right after she lays out her plan it opens regardless of day, and you can pick from it repeatedly in that one conversation.

The concert

Linda’s next wish is a spruced-up club, and after that, music.

Step Bring Reward
Paint 1 Paint; the quest teaches Paint when it starts 10 reputation, a Town Gratitude, a Story
The violin The Violin of her best friend Aleksta, still kept by Aleksta’s “creepy brother”, a doctor living beneath the town. That’s Albert; his page covers his price 10 reputation
Incense 1 Simple Incense, sold by the Trademaster. She remembers Albert smelling of chemicals 10 reputation
The show Speak to her on Lust day to begin. Albert arrives at the last second The A Night to Remember achievement; Albert’s next quest opens

Visiting Albert

Post-concert she’s keen to see Albert again (“so confident… so not into me”) and wants to bring a present. Discussing it with her earns 10 reputation, and the present is a Blank Softcover Notebook. Albert must consent to the visit, which takes 50 reputation with him. The morning after, see her at the club for 10 more reputation; she’s resolved that the two of you will help Albert cure his sister.

Election day venue

Januarius needs her club as the polling station for the village election. Vote Early, Vote Naughty requires 55 reputation to ask and 60 to persuade her; she says yes when you suggest stability might let Albert set up a practice. Since her reputation moves in tens and six quests have awarded it by now, 60 means all six: the shop, the paint, the violin, the incense, the post-concert talk and the Albert visit.

Albert’s cough

With the election behind you, A Cure for Wellness finds her anxious about Albert’s cough. She’s been asking every traveller through the port for a cure, and a group of green-clad refugees has one, a magical plant from their homeland, which they’ll share in exchange for farmland. A ship’s captain at the club proposes the floor of the ship lock, which yielded a great harvest once when it was drained. That launches Herbert’s lock battles.

She’d also like Albert out of his chilly basement and practising properly at the club, and that takes wealthy patients. Wealthy Clients sets the goal at town quality 100, reached through the scrolls you give her, and pays 10 reputation and 2 Town Gratitude. She admits she used to envy Aleksta, and that Aleksta saved them both when the zombies arrived.

After the lock is drained and the refugees settle their land, they swap 3 Po-ta-toes for 3 steel shovels. Take all three to Linda (Hot Potato Delivery); she’ll boil them for Albert to inhale the steam. 10 reputation. After that, bring Albert to the club (his page explains).

The captain sticks around the club. Stand him 2 Beer and he’ll trade stories for Faith: 10 Faith per Story, with 3 Town Gratitude thrown in the first time.

Love Story

Once the cure has done its job and the town has its rich patients, your next wake-up brings Love Story and a trip to the club. Albert lives there now, with a basement laboratory and an upstairs office for patients, while Aleksta pours beer at the bar. Albert wants flasks. As you leave, Linda asks for Chocolate, now that merchants have brought cocoa; the quest teaches the Chocolate cooking technology, and Cacao is sold by the Trademaster. 10 reputation and 3 Town Gratitude.

Lust and Envy asks Linda and Albert as a pair to help with the portal: 90 reputation with each if the Old God’s eye went back, 100 if you kept it. Only the dark path supplies Linda’s last 10, via the Luxury Drapes you give Albert.

No tech tree nodes depend on her; her reputation only gates her own options and quests.

Quests

Notes

  • Safe Harbor accepts any shop or repair. It names the old shop beside the club, but it’s triggered by any repair in town.
  • Guard the Po-ta-toes. The refugees hand over exactly 3, she needs all of them, and there’s no other source.
  • Reaching town quality 100 takes scrolls. Two quests add 10 apiece; the rest has to come from Green Scrolls given to her, one point each.
  • Unconfirmed: the captain’s stories never run out. His Faith option has no counter in the files, so it appears to be repeatable.
